  13. If you already have an older version of PalmVHack installed
  14. please deactivate it before installing this version:

  16. 1. Deactivate PalmVHack (some older versions titled PalmVFix)
  17.    in the HackMaster control panel
  18. 2. Install new version PalmVHack.prc
  19. 3. Activate PalmVHack in the HackMaster control panel

  28. This Hack is a HackMaster Hack requiring you to install HackMaster prior
  29. to installing this file.  Please visit http://www.daggerware.com for
  30. Hackmaster details and register HackMaster with Daggerware if you have not
  31. already done so.  HackMaster is a very useful application for your Palm
  32. Device with many hacks being written by many developers.

  34. This hack is being provided to prevent a problem with the Palm V and it's
  35. various cases and covers.  The provided cover when closed and placed in a 
  36. pocket will apply pressure to the hardware buttons especially the Up/Down
  37. button.  This causes alarms to never sound when they are activated.  Instead
  38. all you hear is the clicking of the button being pressed.
  39.  
  40. This hack disables the Hardware buttons during the processing of an alarm.
  41.  
  42. This means that while a alarm is being processed by an app such as DateBook,
  43. DateBK3 etc.  The Up/Down Buttons will be inactive.
  44.  
  45. The OS upgrade 3.1.1 released by Palm Computing (TM) has partially fixed this
  46. problem.  The Page-Up button was the button most often causing the problem for the majority of users.  Palm Computing (TM) has decided to always ignore the page-up button
  47. during the alarm display in version 3.1.1 of the OS.

PalmVHack provides you with more control by allowing you to select which buttons you would like ignored.  Page-Up, Page-Down Contrast, and the Application Buttons.  You can even override OS upgrade 3.1.1 and re-activate the PAge-Up key with PalmVHack.  This give you complete control of these options.
